Fault diagnosis for linear heterodirectional hyperbolic ODE–PDE systems using backstepping-based trajectory planning

This paper is concerned with the fault diagnosis problem for general linear heterodirectional hyperbolic ODE–PDE systems. A systematic solution presented additive time-varying actuator, process and sensor faults in presence of disturbances. The disturbances are represented by solutions finite-dimensional ODEs, which allow to take a large class signals into account. For disturbances, that only bounded, threshold secured derived. By applying integral transformations system an algebraic detection equation detect finite time obtained. corresponding kernels result from realization finite-time transition between non-equilibrium initial state vanishing final system. this new challenging problem, trajectory planning approach presented. In particular, facilitated mapping kernel equations backstepping coordinates tracing back simple planning. 4 × coupled second order ODE demonstrates results paper.
